Tasting - Barefoot Pink Moscato

Name: Barefoot Pink Moscato
Variety: Moscato
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: 2012
Price: $4.99-$6.99

Online Review (via Barefootwine.com): Aromas of Mandarin orange and sweet jasmine crash into each other to create a deliciously sweet sea of pink goodness. Subtle flavors of cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate wash ashore in the flavorful experience. Waves of pink go great with fruit kabobs; spicy apps or Chinese take-out.

My Review: I decided to try this newer Barefoot flavor because I enjoy their regular Moscato, and as we all know, Barefoot is very inexpensive. Although many people dislike or look down on Barefoot wines, I personally don't mind them for the good price. This wine in particular was very sweet like their original Moscato, but with an added fruit flavor. It has a fresh hint of fruits such as peach and apple, and I really enjoyed the wine. The sweetness may be overwhelming to drink in large quantities, but it was good for one glass, even without food to enhance the flavors. Many people would probably think that this wine is too sweet, but for my inexperienced palate it was just fine!
